  • Basic/Intermediate Stability Ball Exercise (3 CECs)
    In this 3 hour LIVE course, Teri will guide you into introducing and utilizing the Stability Ball into your Pilates sessions and group classes. The course will begin with a review of the movement and core principles involved in the Pilates Mat exercises and will then progress through the basic Pilates mat series and discuss ways to incorporate the stability ball into each exercise. We will address how they affect/change each exercise and then discuss some other exercises derived from the Reformer, Cadillac and Ladder Barrel and how they can be performed on the stability ball. Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate for 3 CEC Credits. You will get the Steele Pilates Basic/Intermediate Stability Ball CEC Course Syllabus and a 3 hour LIVE Zoom session with Teri during which you will learn how to perform, teach and cue all of the exercises.   • Foam Roller Pilates Exercise (3 CECs)
    This is a LIVE 3 hour course on Zoom with Teri Steele. The course will begin with a review of the movement and core principles involved in the Pilates Mat exercises. Teri will then go through the basic mat series and discuss ways to incorporate the foam roller into each exercise. Participants will learn to perform as well as to teach and cue these exercises as well as others derived from Reformer/Cadillac exercises and how they can be performed with foam rollers. Balance exercises will also be taught as well as self-massage/ stretching techniques. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate valid for 3 CEC Credits. You will receive the Steele Pilates Foam Roller Exercise CEC Course Syllabus to download and use during the LIVE Online Course which will take place via Zoom during a scheduled time.   • Steel Pilates Advanced Mat Exercises/Sequencing & Variations (4 CECs)
    The Live course will be scheduled soon, but you can do the ON DEMAND version anytime! Beyond looking better and increasing one’s self esteem, becoming healthier and all that good stuff, what is the point of learning how to move if all you do is move through one exercise/movement each time and repeat it until fatigue? Teri designed this course with advanced movers in mind, but anyone can have more fun in Pilates class with a teacher who knows how to make choreographed sequences ( at any level ). Students feel like they move more fluidly and it teaches people how to use their core strength and breath not only how to do unique movements, but how to connect them actively. This course will teach advanced mat work and sequences in a way that will not distract from the exercise's integrity and will give you the tools to expand and create your own sequences.     Steele Pilates ReForMat Slider Continuing Ed Course On Demand Created to reimagine Pilates Apparatus vocabulary as a mat-based discipline, Teri Steele created exercises using a sliding component. This course includes a 2.5 hour lecture/demonstration video of Teri teaching how to perform, cue and correct each exercise as well as explain the apparatus exercises they are derived from. Prop use will be discussed as a method of either making the exercise more challenging, altering the muscle groups involved and especially as a method of achieving proper form and technique.   • Steele Pilates ReForMat Cable Discipline (6 CEC's)
    The Live course will be scheduled soon. Please message Teri for more information! This 6 hour Continuing Education Workshop will teach instructors how to reimagine a Cadillac/Reformer session as a ReFormat, mat-based discipline, created and presented by Teri Lee Steele. Attaching cables to a sturdy base allows you as the instructor to recreate many exercises done on the Cadillac with the leg or arm springs as well as the cables on the Reformer. When the cables are attached in front of the client, they can be used to aid against gravity during exercises like the Roll Up, Roll Down or Neck Pull and from behind, the resistance for adds load to flexion exercises as well as alters the affect of gravity during leg work. Upon completion of the course, a certificate for 6 credits will be issued. This discipline is very timely in that it requires little space and inexpensive equipment for in-home or virtual client sessions.   • Advanced Stability Ball Exercise (4 CECs)
    The Live course will be scheduled soon, but you can do the ON DEMAND version anytime! This course will begin with a review of the concepts discussed in the Basic/Int Ball CEC course. Teri then progress onto more challenging exercises - using the ball to increase the range of motion of the exercises, to decrease stability and increase neuromuscular recruitment. We will review the lower level exercise first and then teach the advanced version. The course will take 4 hours and will occur during a scheduled ZOOM meeting live with Teri Steele. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate valid for 4 CEC Credits.     Steele Pilates Protocols for Children & Adolescents will address how, when and why to incorporate Pilates exercises and principles into sessions for children. Kids are a population which needs proper instruction while keeping sessions fun and goal-oriented. Developing neuromuscular systems require balance, coordination, and repetition to increase strength and endurance. As physical education wains in schools and more parents are looking to add exercise into their children's lives after school and on weekends to counterbalance this (along with concerns of growing obesity in US children), Pilates is becoming a sought-after form of movement.   • Pre/Postnatal CEC Course (4 CEC'S)
    In this course taught by Teri Steele, students will learn the physiological changes that accompany pregnancy during each trimester and how that affects the Pilates mat and prop work. We will discuss how to safely and successfully work with clients to prepare them for pregnancy and to support them during pregnancy. Proper protocols for pre/post natal clients as well as contraindications will be taught. Upon completion, a certificate for 4 continuing education credits will be issued.   • Steele Pilates Protocols For Aging Populations (4 CEC's)
    The Live course will be scheduled soon. Message Teri for more info! In this 4 hour LIVE workshop taught by Teri Steele on ZOOM, students will learn the physiological changes that accompany aging. Appropriate Pilates exercise variations and protocols will be discussed. We will be focused on exercises that promote neuromuscular recruitment, improving balance, coordination, and a sense of accomplishment and well being. This population thrives as a result of gentle mobilization of joints, functional movement training activities.
